Appointments & fees

Your visit, identification and costs

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. Please call (647) 525-6232 or email our office to request a time. Your appointment is booked once our team confirms it. Contact us before visiting so we can arrange the right service for your needs.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Bring two valid government-issued IDs, including photo identification, and any request letter or instructions you received. Contact our office before your visit if your identification is limited or expired, so we can confirm what is needed for your service.

How much will my service cost?

Fees depend on the service and any applicable government, document-handling or delivery charges. Contact NAF for a quote for your request. Our team will confirm the service scope and applicable fees before you proceed.

Where is your office?

Visit us at 8108 Yonge Street, Office 201, Thornhill, Ontario L4J 1W4, by appointment. Call our team to arrange your visit. View directions ↗

RCMP & Canadian checks

Fingerprinting and application support

Which Canadian fingerprinting services can I book?

NAF provides digital fingerprint capture and electronic submission for RCMP-certified criminal record checks. This can support immigration, citizenship, employment, licensing and other applications where that type of check is requested. Bring the requesting organization’s instructions so we can match the service to your needs.

How long will my RCMP results take?

Your fingerprinting appointment and RCMP processing are separate. Additional review can affect processing time, and delivery takes extra time. Tell us about your deadline when booking so we can discuss current estimates. The RCMP controls its processing schedule.

Can NAF provide a Vulnerable Sector Check?

Vulnerable Sector Checks are handled by your local police service, not issued by NAF. If the police give you a fingerprint referral letter, contact our office to confirm whether we can assist with that fingerprinting step.

Do you assist with record suspension applications?

We offer fingerprinting and administrative support with record suspension application preparation. Contact our office to discuss the assistance available for your circumstances. The Parole Board of Canada makes the decision; using a private provider does not guarantee approval or faster processing.

FBI & international

U.S. requests and overseas requirements

Can I have FBI fingerprints taken in Canada?

Yes. NAF offers ink-and-roll fingerprinting in Thornhill for FBI Identity History Summary requests. Our service is fingerprint capture; the FBI performs the record check. Contact us to confirm the fingerprinting requirements for your application.

Can you take fingerprints for another country?

We provide fingerprint card services for international applications. Tell us which country and requesting authority are involved, along with any form or instructions, so we can confirm the service available. Acceptance is determined by the receiving authority.

What if I need a U.S. employment or licensing check?

Tell us which U.S. authority has requested the check before booking. An FBI Identity History Summary is not a substitute for an employment or licensing background check. We will review the fingerprinting instructions to confirm whether NAF can assist with the required fingerprint capture.

I am outside Canada. Can NAF assist?

Contact us about fingerprint card scanning or document coordination for your request. Tell us your location, the service required and where the result will be used. Our team will confirm whether we can assist and the arrangements available before you send any original cards or documents.

Apostille & documents

Authentication, coordination and delivery

Can you arrange apostille or authentication services?

Yes. We assist with preparation, submission coordination and return delivery for Canadian documents used abroad. Tell us the document type, where it was issued and where it will be used so we can confirm the appropriate service and submission authority.

Can I arrange my RCMP check and apostille together?

Yes. Contact NAF to coordinate your RCMP criminal record check and any Canadian apostille or authentication support needed for its destination. We will confirm the service scope, expected stages and fees before you proceed.

I have a deadline. Can you help with an urgent request?

Tell our team about your deadline before proceeding. We can review service availability and delivery options, but government processing and courier schedules are outside NAF’s control. Using a third-party provider does not shorten Global Affairs Canada’s processing time.

Do I need to send original documents?

This depends on the document and the receiving authority’s requirements. Contact NAF before sending originals; our team will confirm what is needed and how submission and return will be arranged. Please do not attach identity documents to an initial email inquiry.
